Red Wine Vinegar Marinade for Steak

I wanted to try something a little different tonight with dinner. You see, normally I either grill or fry up my steak, but I didn’t want to do either tonight. I wanted to broil it, ten minutes on each side. I thought it might result in more evenly cooked, tender meat. I was pleasantly surprised that I was right, and the results were absolutely delicious!

In order to broil, I wanted a simple yet tasty marinade. This is what I came up with.



1 lb. steak (I used grass fed tri-tip this time)

1 cup extra virgin olive oil

1/2 cup red wine vinegar

2 tbsp. dried oregano

2 tbsp. garlic powder

1 tbsp. onion powder

1/4 tsp dried ginger

1 tsp. salt

1 tsp freshly ground black pepper


Combine ingredients in mixing bowl and pour over one pound of beef.  Let marinate for 30 mins – 24 hours before preparing. Broil, grill, or fry steak to desired doneness.
